Even though our league is non-competitive, our teams still need Coaches to create the gameday lineups, assign buddies (volunteers) to players, build team spirit and much more! Being an MLP Coach is one of the most rewarding volunteer opportunities we offer since you'll be able to grow strong relationships with your players and their families.
Coach Responsibilities
- Create gameday lineup and deliver it to announcer before each game
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for players and families
- Communicate with players and parents about any weather-related delays or cancellations
- Assign buddies to players
- Underhand pitch to your player or set up tee during the game
- Provide high-fives, fist bumps, and words of encouragement to your players
- Distribute end-of-season trophies to players
- Attend all games during the season*
- Pass a Criminal Background Check*
*We understand that life happens and you might have to miss a game but we hope to find Coaches who are dedicated to their teams
